Earlene's existence has been nothing short of heartbreaking. For eight long years, she was used solely for breeding, a means to an end, confined to a small crate with no room to move, no love, and no medical attention. The only purpose she served was for profit, and once she was deemed no longer useful, she was discarded.

When Earlene arrived at Rovers Do Over, it was evident that she had endured a harsh life. Her frail body told a story of neglect and misery. Her once bright eyes now cloudy, one damaged beyond repair, necessitating removal. Her teeth, uncared for, showed the signs of years of neglect, causing her immense pain and difficulty eating. The scars of her past life are blatantly obvious just by one simple glance at her.

As soon as  Earlene arrived, it immediately became clear that she needed comprehensive medical intervention. We began with a full vet examination, revealing the extent of her required treatments. Her damaged eye would need to be removed to alleviate her pain, and a dental procedure would be necessary as well to address her decaying teeth and ensure she could eat without pain. Furthermore, she has a hernia to be addressed during spaying and other general vetting are essential to ensure her overall health and well-being.

Despite the suffering Earlene has endured, she is the sweetest little girl! She deserves to finally enjoy her life as a normal, happy, and healthy dog but we need your help to make this possible. Earlene's journey towards recovery is just beginning, and she needs all the help she can get.

Update on Earlene:
Our veterinarian has determined that Earlene's eye does not require removal, despite her total blindness. Thankfully, she is not experiencing any pain. However, she does have a hernia that must be addressed during her upcoming spay procedure.

Bruin has endured a lifetime of hardship. For six long years, he was nothing more than a tool for profit, neglected and forgotten. His once vibrant blue coat now dull and his body ravaged by neglect.

His breeder, realizing he was no longer profitable, callously abandoned him at a shelter. Bruin, with his foggy eyes and arthritic body, is a shadow of his former self. His muscles wasted from years of confinement, his bones aching with every movement.

However, Rocco's past is not all sunshine and rainbows. This poor pup suffered a serious pelvic fracture, likely from being struck by a car.
